He must have made up his mind about cats when he had some time to think about it *L* Friends of ours have a grey and she loves their cat. They even share her kennel! So I guess it's a hit and miss.

I'm with you on the whole hypo-allergenic hype. I'm not buying into that either, but husband seems to be fine around some dogs and doesn't do too well around others. Best is always to make sure to keep the allergen count low by mopping, dusting and grooming the dog, and giving the body time to figure out what to do with the allergens. He used to be allergic to cats and now we have two in the house :o) and he's fine.

Wheaten Terriers are my husband's absolute favorite but we didn't have any luck finding one here. We are getting a puppy next Tuesday though ;o) so stay tuned for the big reveal!A little old househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14371685336161640555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922022806508323599.post-4414425796636788452012-02-23T17:49:09.436-06:002012-02-23T17:49:09.436-06:00Aww.. sorry to hear that things didn't work ou...Aww.. sorry to hear that things didn't work out. :( It must've been so disappointing.

I know a couple of people with greyhounds and they were told by their rescues that greyhounds cannot be trusted around cats. The prey drive is so well developed and ingrained in a lot of them.

My dog is a wheaten and is considered hypo-allergenic (I don't care for that term, though, as I AM allergic to him when brushing him each morning).

Good luck with the search. :) The right dog will show up at some point!Sarah @ { rad: renovations are dirty }http://sarah-mat.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
